TRUST

"I know God won't give me anything I can't handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much."
- Mother Theresa
this year so far has been interesting to say the least. god is certainly asking me to lean on him and TRUST. if any of you follow ali edwards you know that she always has ONE LITTLE WORD that she chooses for her year. check out this link for more info. and i had decided after much thought and prayer that my word would be TRUST.
and that has been what i have been forced to do through all the circumstances that have been occuring these past few weeks. i won't be a downer and bore you with my boo hooing, but i'm trusting that god is in control. and i am not.
and that's really where i'm at. everything that is stable in our lives right now, is unstable. causing us to rely on god all the more. which actually, is right where he wants us. leaning on him whole heartedly. sadly i admit i probably have not been trusting him with everything, being the control freak that i am. so this year, i will TRUST.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."
-Proverbs 3:5,6
i like this version better:
"Trust in God from the bottom of your heart. Don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go. He's the one who will keep you on track."
-the Message

That is such a good focus word. Somehow its those simple things like letting go and handing over that seem to be the hardest. Hanging in there sister.

That is an EXCELLENT focus word!! I had to smile when I saw it because as co-leader of our homeschool ministry at church that is the exact word that we chose for our '08-'09 theme! And let me tell you, when you choose a word like that the Lord wants to make sure you truly understand what it means. ;) I'm being stretched and molded more than I could have possibly imagined!

Our verse for the year ~
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Psalm 34:8

I look forward to hearing all that the Lord is doing in your lives!
Love & Blessings!
